Discover SLU Magazine
ABOUT THE PROJECT
This was a quick project designed to gather some South Lake Union lifestyle photography. The photos would go into the first issue of Discover SLU Magazine, a small magazine about things to do in the neighborhood included with Seattle Met. I partnered with Portland, OR based media company Sagacity Media on this project.
INSIDE THE PROJECT
The South Lake Union lifestyle shoot took place over the course of one day in late September and used four non-professional models hired by yours truly. Similar to my project with Kilroy Realty, the goal was to create photos that would give viewers a sense of place. I wanted to show how it felt to walk the streets of South Lake Union as a late 20s to early 30s someone who lives and works in the neighborhood. We also wanted to highlight the growing concept of bike share as a means of getting around, which at the time was operated by Alaska Airlines.
